Golan Heights Winery
From the cradle of the world's wine industry, the Golan Heights Winery is in the forefront of Israel's growing global acclaim for producing quality wines.

Yarden Cabernet Sauvignon
While tropical fruits such as dates and bananas are grown in the area around the Sea of Galilee, a dramatic change in altitude and climate makes the Golan Heights the country's coolest region and considered the best for producing high-quality wine grapes. With gently rolling green hills dotted by extinct volcanoes, well-drained volcanic basalt soil, and vineyard elevations ranging from 1,300 to 3,900 feet, the Golan is an ideal combination of geography, geology, and climate. Summers are dry with cool, steady breezes from snow-capped Mount Hermon, making for a long growing season. Snowfalls are common in the winter. The ripe, concentrated grapes grown in these conditions respond beautifully to the vintner's art, revealing the unique characteristics of the Golan's terroir.
Because of the Golan's long, dry growing season and cool mountain breezes, Yarden wines have a delicious balance of fruit, structure, and freshness that complement not only Israel's native Mediterranean dishes but also a wide range of international cuisines.
