2010 Cornerstone Scholarship Winner ($2,000) -- Gina DeVito

Les Dames d’Escoffier New York (LDNY) has awarded 22 scholarships to women pursuing careers in find food, beverage and hospitality professions. Over the past four years, Cornerstone Communications has awarded a scholarship to a female student in hospitality as a part of Les Dames d’Escoffier’s annual scholarship program.

A refreshing blast of Alpine air swept through San Francisco recently thanks to the Alto Adige wine seminar and grand tasting at the city’s Four Seasons Hotel. Members of the wine industry and media flocked to the tasting hosted by Italy’s northernmost wine region. Home to a blend of Alpine and Mediterranean cultures, the Alto Adige region is not lacking in diversity as the tasting demonstrated, with 19 producers pouring over 200 wines.

The battle for the title of "Epicurean All-Stars" at Cornerstone Communications’ Second Annual "Bowling Ball" raised nearly $3,000 to benefit CancerCare for Kids® on Wednesday, January 21, 2009. Members of the wine, media, and fashion industries laced up their bowling shoes, donned matching jerseys, and whipped out their best moves to support CancerCare at 300 Bowling Lanes at Chelsea Piers.

The Institute of Masters of Wine is delighted to announce that the Montes Scholarship, announced for the first time in 2007, has been renamed the Alfredo Vidaurre Montes Wine Scholarship, in honour of Alfredo Vidaurre, co-founder, partner and former director of Montes, who died in February this year.
